Help My Family in Jamaica Rebuild After Hurricane Melissa

Hi, my name is Casine, and I’m originally from Savannah-la-Mar, Jamaica, but I currently live in Florida. I’m raising funds for my immediate family in Jamaica, who were devastated by Hurricane Melissa. The storm destroyed or severely damaged three family homes — my sister Shantel’s, my brother Obrian’s, and my grandmother’s.

My sister Shantel and her young daughter are living in the home pictured, which has no roof and is completely open to the rain. My brother Obrian’s home, also pictured, was badly damaged and is unsafe to stay in. My grandmother’s home lost its roof as well, and the roads to reach it are still blocked, so we haven’t been able to assess the full damage or take pictures yet.

I created this GoFundMe to help them get food, clean water, and basic supplies right away, and to fund repairs and rebuilding materials for their homes. 100% of all donations will go directly to my family in Jamaica, and I will personally ensure the funds are used exactly as stated. We will also post updates and photos as donations come in, so you can see the progress and how your kindness is helping.
