Casey was recently diagnosed with a Chiari malformation after a few hard years of her health declining with no answers. Her most recent MRI showed that she has 3 CSF blockages in her brain, and the CSF is flowing backwards. She has surgery scheduled on December 15th.

Casey is a full-time momma, nurse, and is in school full-time pursuing her nurse practitioner degree. She will be unable to work after her surgery and has a long road to recovery ahead of her. Her wife, Emily, will take on caring for Casey and their son, Felix, during this time and will be the sole provider for their family.
