HELP US GROW OUR COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING IN EL MONTE!

Center for the Arts and Social Action (CASA) encourages connection through the arts, participatory education, ancestral knowledge, & social justice to transform our relationships with ourselves & the world. We do so by strengthening the well-being of multi-generational, multicultural, and diasporic communities in Los Angeles County.

Since December 2025 youth, social workers, educators, and teachers have met to brainstorm and write CASA’s mission and vision statements, and organizational values. Since then we continue to build the community based non profit, especially through our community programming based on art exhibits, transformative justice circles, open mics, and popular education. We are doing this all volunteered-basis but we need YOUR support in order to continue this effort in the San Gabriel Valley and grow our community programming.

We are launching this online fundraiser with the goal to raise $20,000 to fund the following:

Programming supplies: pens, paper, markers, easel pads, clipboards

Projector and screen

White board with markers

Stipends to program facilitators

CASA merch: tshirts, pens, notepads, stickers

Expand our programming to: Indigenous language classes, children art workshops, danza azteca, herbalism, movie nights,

Mics and speaker

Toilet paper and feminine sanitary pads

All programs are currently at Memories of El Monte arts space and we would love to continue working out of the space. This is all by and for the community! Your contribution will provide access to community arts, wellness, and healing circles for the multi-generational community of the SGV. We are so grateful for the support!!
