Dear friends,

I’ve created this fundraiser for so many reasons. Firstly, Cary has been hospitalized since Christmas Eve.

He’s been experiencing muscle atrophy from recent injuries to his foot and knee. Which kept him off his feet for 6 weeks at a time. Each time it was harder to recover.

He hasn’t worked since -

August 2024. On Christmas eve he was vomiting blood, it was time to get help. He is receiving a small pension from Canada but it’s not enough to cover basic expenses. He could remain in rehab till April. I am working and it was going well for the last year but my boss cut my hours back by half. I want to keep the two days I’m scheduled and hopefully find another part time job. But that’s not happening as quickly as I’d hoped.

Also, our landlord is selling the house we live in, and we have to relocate. He’s given us till the end of Feb but… we don’t have the money to move. To rent a truck, hire helpers ( because it’s all on me) Cary can’t help, Natasha’s at school. Friends can only help so much. And we have no where to go.

The system makes it so hard to get Social services. (I won’t bore you with the details)

However, we need help. Even just to get out of this house, put everything in storage and find temporary housing.

I know the $ amount is high, but if we can get a place, we’ll need first, last, deposit and possibly a realtor fee. And secure a storage unit in the meantime.

It’s the perfect storm. Everything all at once.

I am overwhelmed, but feel like people must be praying for me because I seem to be handling it relatively well for the time being. It’s a lot.
