At 4:30 this morning, my dear friend and co-worker Carrie experienced a devastating house fire while she and her son were asleep. In a matter of moments, they lost their home and two of their four beloved dogs. The heartbreak and shock are unimaginable, and they are now facing the overwhelming task of starting over with so much gone.

Carrie has worked at Wellspan Gettysburg Hospital for over a decade, dedicating her life to caring for others in our community. She is the first to step up when someone is in need, always giving her time and energy selflessly. Now, in this moment of crisis, she finds herself needing the support of her community. The funds raised will help Carrie and her son find a safe place to stay, replace essential belongings, and care for their surviving pets as they begin to rebuild their lives.

Carrie would never ask for help herself, but I want to do this for her because she is so deserving.
