I’m writing this with a heavy heart. My sister-in-law, Carolyn Kempenich, her fiancé, and their three beautiful children have just experienced the unimaginable. Their home burned completely to the ground, and they were left with nothing but the clothes on their backs. In a single moment, everything they worked so hard for was gone — their home, their memories, their children’s belongings, furniture, keepsakes… all of it. To make matters even more heartbreaking, they did not have renters insurance, so there will be no reimbursement to help them rebuild. Both of their cars were ruined in the fire, and only one was covered by insurance. They were in the middle of planning their wedding and preparing to move into a new chapter of their lives. Instead of celebrating love and new beginnings, they are now facing the overwhelming reality of starting completely over.
If you know them, you know they are kind, loving, hardworking people who would give the shirts off their backs to help anyone else. Now they are the ones in need. We are asking for any support you can give — whether that’s a donation, a share, or a prayer. Every single dollar will go toward helping them secure housing, replace basic necessities, provide clothing for the kids, and begin rebuilding their lives. No amount is too small. Even sharing this fundraiser makes a difference.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with them during this devastating time. Your kindness and generosity mean more than words can express. With love and gratitude, Susan and Curtis Kempenich
