My name is Hannah Hopper, Operations Manager at The Bluegrass Coffee & Bourbon Lounge. We are raising funds to help Carolina and her family rebuild after a house fire

If you’ve eaten at The Bluegrass Lounge, you’ve tasted Carolina's cooking. She’s the heart of our kitchen: hardworking, reliable, and always there for her team. Her 18-year-old daughter, Rhonalis, works alongside us too.

A few days ago, Carolina and her three children lost their home to a house fire. They’re safe, but they’ve been displaced and lost nearly everything: clothes, furniture, everyday essentials, and sadly all of their memories. Her insurance payout is going toward damage to the apartment, not toward replacing her family’s belongings. Leaving them starting over from scratch on their own dime.

On top of that, The Bluegrass Lounge recently announced it will be closing, which means both Carolina and Rhonalis will soon be out of work. Losing their home and their jobs at the same time is more than any family should have to face alone.

Carolina has always shown up for us, and now we’re asking our community to show up for her family. Every dollar will go directly to them for housing, clothing, beds, essentials, and stability while they look for new work.
