Help Carol Scott Overcome Her Medical Crisis
Donation protected
Hello!
Thank you for caring about my mother, Carol Scott, and our family. I'm Heather, her oldest daughter, and my mom has lived with us (my husband and two boys) for the past 6 years. She is a loving mother and devoted grandmother who is facing a major and unexpected medical crisis. On her birthday, March 5, 2025, she called me to report a pain in her chest. From there, we ended up in the emergency room and then transferred to the Heart Hospital in Columbia only knowing that there was something wrong with her heart. There the doctors discovered a rare, but non-malignent tumor in her heart, which requires removal. There is a high possiblity of open heart surgery by the end of the week. She is 73 years old and has been in relatively good health, eating a balanced diet, working, exercising and staying socially involved and connected. This heart issue was completely unexpected. She will be out of work for an indefinite amount of time, and she owes a copay for her first five days in the hospital plus the emergency room visit. Would you be able to contribute in order to relieve the financial stress that comes with life-threatening conditions? We appreciate any prayers and donations you are able to give. Feel free to sign up for her Caringbridge site to receive current updates on her journey.
God bless,
