Hello, my name is John. I am reaching out to see if we can help my mother with a miracle.
Her name is Carol; she is a self-proclaimed funny old hippy lady. My wife and I were fortunate enough to get together with her and meet up at The Sphere in Vegas a few months ago. We bit the bullet and got tickets to see Dead & Co. We saw the old hippy in her spring to life when we got there! But we also noticed two things. She was in pain from the very long bus ride from AZ to NV, (because she has no car) and her overall mobility wasn't what it used to be. She's 71, so she gave her all to boogie to the music of The Grateful Dead as if she were young again. It was a very emotional experience, one that I will always cherish, but we could clearly see that she was in pain and doing her best to smile through it all. Like she always did.
She lives in Prescott, Arizona and still is currently without a vehicle. Between the uber and bus rides and the walking when she has to, she is really suffering to get where she needs to go. Doctors, shopping for food, etc. etc.
The feeling of immobility has definitely weighed heavily on her and makes her feel depressed and somehow worth-less. She has been searching around for a cheap vehicle and has found one. She doesn't have all the money she needs to get it and fears that she will lose the opportunity for the good deal on this very humble car.
My hope is that we can come up with enough for her to get the car, a new radiator tags, title, insurance, yada yada (all of the hoops). Maybe a few tanks of gas. I wish we could just afford to do it all for her, but we just can't. I am hoping we can all do a little and that would help her immensely. I'd like to think she still as more dance moves in her, and I KNOW for sure she isn't ready to just sit there in her home. She just needs a little Help on The Way...
