My nephew was recently attacked on his way home from school - I’m helping my sister with this gofundme to try to raise funds for a used car as safer way for him to get around town.

Hi everyone,

This is really hard for me to ask, but as a mother, my priority is keeping my children safe and right now, I need help doing that.

I’m a single mom of three, doing my best to support my family, including my son Carmine, who is currently in college in Long Beach. I help him as much as I can with food and housing so he can focus on school and building his future.

Recently, Carmine was randomly attacked while walking home from school causing a concussion & lacerations to his neck. Thankfully, he’s okay but the situation shook us both deeply. Knowing he has to continue walking alone like that has been incredibly stressful and honestly frightening as a parent.

I want to raise money to help get Carmine a reliable, used car so he has a safer way to get to and from school. This would give both of us peace of mind and help him continue his education without fear.

Funds raised will go toward:

- A used, reliable vehicle

- Registration and insurance

- Basic maintenance to ensure the car is safe

As a parent, not being able to fully protect your child is one of the hardest feelings and I’m just trying to do everything I can to change that.
