Hi, my name is Cassonica and I’m raising funds for my mom, stepdad, younger siblings, and my nephew, whose lives were turned upside down by Hurricane Melissa. In the span of a few hours the storm took nearly everything — their home, belongings, and the sense of safety they worked so hard to build. Now they’re facing the unimaginable, trying to stay strong for the younger ones while starting from nothing. Despite the loss, their faith and love for each other haven’t wavered.
We’re humbly asking for help to rebuild — to replace essentials, find stable housing, and bring a bit of hope back into their lives. Any donation or share makes a difference and brings them one step closer to home.
From our hearts to yours, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers.
Hello everyone,
My name is Carmara, and I’m writing on behalf of my family in Jamaica. Our home and everything we owned were destroyed by Hurricane Melissa, which recently devastated our country. We lost not only our house but also our furniture, clothes, and important documents. Thankfully, we are all safe, but we are starting from nothing.
In the aftermath of this tragedy, we are trying to move forward, but it has been incredibly difficult. The children in our home are now out of school because their uniforms, books, and other essentials were destroyed. We are raising funds to help us replace necessities, support the kids' return to school, and begin rebuilding our home.
Any amount, no matter how small, will make a huge difference as we work to recover and rebuild our lives.
We are deeply grateful for your support, prayers, and shares. Your kindness gives us hope that we can rebuild our home and our community stronger than before.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
— Carmara & Family
