Hi, I'm Carly's dad, Carlos. I'm raising money for my daughter Carly's registration and trip fees for a cheer competition in Florida. Cheer has been a big part of Carly's life for the last three years. This year, her team, the Mayans at CNG Studio, has been working hard this last year in their competitions and has been invited to a national cheer competition in Florida. My wife Veronica and I had been saving up for the trip when Carly went to the hospital for emergency surgery for appendicitis in the last week of January. Normally, we'd be able to take care of the costs through our health insurance, but like emergencies often do, they come at the worst times.

My wife is recovering from knee surgery due to injuries that have left her unable to work. I recently left my job for a new one and am in the waiting period before my healthcare kicks in; therefore, the timing for this surgery couldn't be worse. We used the funds we had saved for Carly's trip to cover medical costs. With a month left before the trip, we're hoping to re-raise funds to get us to Florida for the cheer competition that she and her team have worked so hard for!
