Hurricane Melissa devastated many parts of Jamaica, leaving homes destroyed, communities flooded, and families struggling to access clean water, food, and safe shelter. Recovery will take time and support, and many communities are working to meet even their most basic needs.

A close friend of the Dauer family, Carlton, has loved ones in one of the hardest-hit regions. Carlton spends most of the year working in the U.S. and sends nearly everything he earns back home to support his family. Now the people he loves, along with their neighbors, are facing overwhelming loss and a long road to rebuild.

We are raising funds to help families in Jamaica who are trying to survive this crisis and begin restoring their homes and communities. Any support will go directly toward helping them stay safe, meet basic needs, and care for their children and elders during this difficult time.
