My daughter Cariss and her boyfriend Noah lost their home on Christmas Day due to the flooding from the rain in Northern California. They came home Christmas night to find their home flooded with water and mud . Luckily, their animals were unharmed . They have one dog and two cats. This flood ruined all of their furniture and household items They have stayed in a hotel for the last week. Cariss and Noah were approved for a new home and were able to move in this week. Unfortunately they are not are unable to furnish it due to the unexpected costs of a new security deposit, first months rent, hotel stay, and the cost of not being able to cook at home. These expenses exhausted their savings. They have renters insurance but it’s a lengthy process to file claims and get approvals. Some items destroyed are their couch, kitchen table, coffee table, rugs, towels, clothes they had in the laundry basket, shoes, shoe racks, vacuum, and other household items . They also need a washer and dryer. Any help to help this young couple get back on their feet is greatly appreciated. If you know their story, you know they have gone through a lot the last two years when it comes to their home.
