Help Carey Lynn!!!

Hey guys! This go fund me is for my cousin. She isn’t aware I’m doing this for her. My cousin is needing a skull base surgery that is scheduled for March 6th 2025, which is coming up in less than a month. After finding out what her out of pocket she has to pay in order to get this procedure was...she was just going to cancel the surgery due to not being able to afford it. When trying to cancel her surgery her doctor strongly advised not to cancel and to continue with the surgery due to high risk of how fast this tumor is growing and the damages it'll cause if it's left there and not removed. She has already put this surgery off for 2 years now..and she is recommended to not put it off any further.

She has had this surgery twice before in 2018 and again in 2021 but the disease is so aggressive it continues to come back. She has a tumor in her mastoid bone. CT scans and MRI testing has shown that it has grown to the point it has cracked her skull and now her doctor is concerned about brain tissue protruding through the gap she now has in her skull where it protects the brain. It's NOT cancerous but it's extremely aggressive and damages basically everything in it's path. It has already collapsed her ear drum, cracked her skull, and if brain tissue is found it will put her at risk of spinal fluid leakage. It damages the nerves and tissues that affect not only her hearing but her facial nerves as well which if she does not get the operation to remove this tumor it can result in facial paralysis. Her Neuro-otoligist is working closely next to her brain and this has turned into quite a very serious surgery for my cousin.

In order for her to have the surgery, just for the physicians fee she is looking at $904.86 and that is WITH insurance. That does not include the anesthesia and facility charges that will have to be paid upfront as well before the surgery that insurance does not cover.

I am asking my friends and family to please help get her the funds she will need for the surgery! Her and her husband both work full time jobs & have 4 beautiful kiddos at home. If you know my cousin you would know she is such a hard worker and would literally do anything for the people she loves. I am begging those who see this to please help her in anyway you can!!
