Update for January 2026: Thank you for all that have helped so far. Immediate need right now is thanks to first of the year deductibles, we are unable to pay for mom's Eliquis at a cost of 617 bucks. Thankfully that one med will cover the deductible in full so it should be cheaper moving forward.

I am a 51-year-old caregiver for my 82-year-old mother who is a double leg amputee and has dementia. I lost my job in April of 2025 and am currently still trying to find work that allows flexible hours.

We've recently had some medical expenses that have put us in an incredibly bad position, and I am trying to keep my rock from homelessness. She spent 60 years as a nurse helping others and deserves every bit of care I can give her.

Just raising 2k will put us in a better position for the rest of the year while I keep trying to find part-time remote work that I can balance with her care, which is a 24/7 job on its own.
