Hurricane Melissa has left devastating damage across Jamaica, and the small community of Amity in Westmoreland was hit especially hard. My husband Cardel’s mom and grandma are among those who lost nearly everything in the storm. Their homes were severely damaged — roofs torn off, belongings destroyed, and access to food and clean water has become extremely limited.

Amity is a tight-knit rural community where neighbours have always looked out for one another, but this disaster has left many families struggling just to meet basic needs. We’re hoping to raise funds to help them — and their community — rebuild and recover.
