Help Calvin After Fire

MY HOUSE IS FINE! THIS MONEY ISN'T FOR ME! IT'S GOING TO MY NEXTDOOR NEIGHBOR WHO JUST LOST HIS ENTIRE HOME AND BELONGINGS OF 65 YEARS!

Originally I was gonna use this to raise

a few nickels and dimes during my birthday fundraiser for the New Marigny neighborhood beautification project (in which yours truly has planted multiple beautiful trees, and yes, I held the shovel and planted that shit myself) to plant additional trees to the >100 that we've already planted in my hood. However, in light of the events in the past few hours, I'm gonna give all these funds to my homey Calvin. He has lived next to me at my home between Esplanade and Frenchman downtown in NOLA since Darlene Thomas Procell so graciously bought me this house in 2019. He is the epitome of what I think it means to be a new orleanian. I haven't had lots of company at my house due to various reasons (mostly being than I'm not a proper host and prefer to be left alone lol.) However, I've already had a multiple guests message me reminding me that they met Calvin when visiting.... like seriously from coast to coast (San Francisco to Pennsylvania) and am waiting for some others who met him to respond who live in different countries and continents. He has been at this house 65 years....and he's 65 years old. Now his house and all earthly possessions are gone. Every cent will go to my dog Calvin, I promise. I'm just trying to help my homey who sat on the back of his truck with me at 1 am and watched the entire contents of his 65 years go up in smoke.
