Hi, my name is Lauren and if you know me, you know how close I am and how much I care for my niece Callista.

Sadly, on Christmas evening, Callista walked in to find her mom unconscious. Since then, her mom has been in the hospital and as of December 28th, the decision has been made to take her off life support.

I will keep the details private out of respect of the family, but this is something no one should have to deal with during the holidays. Jennifer was too young, and had just welcomed a grand baby a couple of months ago.

On top of Callista raising a new born, you can only imagine all of the things she’s having to handle now with this situation. Losing your mom during the holidays is hard enough, I don’t want her to stress about the medical bills, funeral costs, missing work due to grieving, etc. .
