Hello, my name is Caleisha, and I live in Illinois. I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my family in Jamaica, who were devastated by Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm that recently struck the island.

The hurricane destroyed homes, personal belongings, and entire livelihoods. Many of my relatives have lost everything — including items that can never be replaced. They are now struggling to find shelter, clothing, food, and other basic necessities.

While I’m grateful to be safe here in the U.S., my heart is breaking for my family back home. I’m doing everything I can to support them from afar, but I can’t do it alone.
