Help Caleb & Shelby Borgestad with NICU Expenses
Donation protected
As some of you have heard, our son Caleb and daughter-in-law Shelby gave birth yesterday morning to our first grand baby - Everleigh Lynnora Borgestad. She came into this world 6 weeks early, but God has had His hands upon this precious little one and her Momma, Shelby.
Our family was together in upper New York celebrating Thanksgiving. Shelby began having contractions the night before we were all scheduled to fly home. Early Sunday morning, we brought Shelby to the local hospital in Saranac Lake where they rushed her in for an emergency C-section. Baby Everleigh was born Sunday morning, weighing 4 lbs. 10 oz. They transported Mom and baby to Albany Medical Center in New York, where they are expecting baby Everleigh to be in the NICU for the next 3 weeks.
Caleb, Shelby and Everleigh are 12-hours away from their home in Lafayette, Indiana. Caleb will have to take time off from teaching his 5th grade class and Shelby will be unable to work for a while as the Young Life administrator, as they will need to be with baby Everleigh in Albany until she is ready to go home. They are working on getting in to the Ronald McDonald House, but there are no guarantees. As you can imagine, this will create a lot of unexpected expenses.

Saturday morning, we had a Dads, Dudes, and Donuts Day with Caleb, while Misti and the girls threw Shelby a 'Blessings' shower. When I asked Caleb what he was most excited about and what he was most nervous about in becoming a dad, he said, "I just can't wait to hold my baby girl and just everything about being a dad! What I'm most nervous about, is being a good provider and taking care of my wife and daughter financially."
We would love for you to prayerfully consider helping Caleb, Shelby and baby Everleigh with a financial gift. Please do not feel obligated to give, but anything you could do would truly be a blessing to them. Our desire is to shower them with generosity!
More than any financial gift anyone could give, we know that your prayers are what are going to bring baby Everleigh home. Thank you to all who have been praying already, and we thank you and God for your continued love and support.
We give God the Glory for this tiny miracle.
Blessings,
Chad & Misti Borgestad
