On Wednesday, little Tobias started having seizures and was urgently airlifted from Hervey Bay Hospital to Brisbane Children’s Hospital. After many tests, doctors discovered he has Influenza A, which has developed into Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM) – a rare autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in the brain and spinal cord, damaging the protective coating around the nerves.

This condition means Tobias faces a long road to recovery and will need to stay in hospital for some time.

During this difficult period, his parents Caitlyn and Curtis want nothing more than to stay close to him and support him every step of the way. Sadly, This means they must cover the cost of accommodation, food, and other living expenses while remaining near Tobias in Brisbane.
