The Nicholson family needs your support during this time of need. In early April Caiden fell while playing with his dog Champ, he did not jump back up like a normal three year old would. Not long after the fall is when he started to become lethargic. Cassie "his mom" rushed him to the Destin ER where he was then taken by ambulance to Pensacola. While in Pensacola the doctors found a tumor on his kidney. After more testing he was transported by ambulance to the Shands hospital in Gainesville, Florida. The tumor has been removed along with his kidney and five lymphoid.
On Tuesday, April the 13th we received the bad news that he has neuroblastoma adrenaline gland cancer. Caiden will undergo at least six months of chemotherapy. Caiden's parents, Cassie and James Nicholson will be staying in Gainesville for the foreseeable future while he undergoes treatment.
With the family having to travel back and fourth between Destin and Gainesville (312 miles) they will need accommodations in Gainesville while Caiden undergoes treatment.
While Cassie, James and Caiden are in Gainesville, Olivia (13) and Carter (10) Caiden's Siblings will be staying with their grandparents, Carla and Greg Marler.
Caiden is a very energetic three- year old, who loves the outdoors and being around his siblings. He loves playing with his trucks, blowing bubbles, riding his bike and PJ Masks (especially Catboy.)
All funds raised will go towards medical expenses, child care expenses, traveling expenses, lodging expenses. Anything will help and is very appreciated! Prayers are always needed as we start this journey!
