Help Organize for a Stronger Community — Support Byrd Barr Place!
Hi everyone,
As part of my Project Management class, I’ve partnered with Byrd Barr Place—a vital community organization in Seattle that has been serving neighbors for over 50 years. Their mission? To help people help themselves by providing essential services like food, housing assistance, and energy support while uplifting the African American community and advocating for equity.
The Project: Located in a beautifully remodeled historic fire station, Byrd Barr Place needs help organizing two storage sheds and a storage unit. These spaces are key to efficiently distributing supplies and running their programs—but they’re currently underutilized due to a lack of proper shelving and organization systems.
️ How your support helps: I’m raising funds to purchase shelves, bins, and other materials needed to implement smart, sustainable storage solutions. This will improve their supply chain flow and day-to-day operations—meaning faster service and more impact for the community. Any surplus funds will be donated directly to Byrd Barr Place to support their programs.
Why it matters: When resources are organized, more people get help—faster. This project goes beyond storage—it's about making sure essential support reaches those who need it most.
If you believe in building stronger, more equitable communities, I would be incredibly grateful for your support—every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference.
Thank you for being part of this mission!
