Help buy a Catholic Worker Farm in Uganda
Donation protected
The Uganda Catholic Worker has been providing shelter and hospitality to more than 200 poor and vulnerable Ugandans since February, 2014, including HIV-positive individuals, victims of domestic violence, abandoned children, refugees, ex-prisoners, and those suffering from mental illness. In addition, it has brought its peace and nonviolence program to more than 600 schools and youth organizations across the country.
Since its founding, the Uganda Catholic Worker has rented its houses of hospitality. Now, founder Michael Sekitoleko wants to purchase a home for the community in order to secure financial sustainability into the future. The house will be used to provide hospitality and as a base of operations for the peace and nonviolence program.
This GoFundMe is being sponsored by Jim and Anne Dowling of the Peter Maurin Farm Catholic Worker outside Brisbane, Australia, as part of their long-running support of the Uganda Catholic Worker.
Thanks in advance for your support!
