Hi y’all. On February 6th, a fire displaced the family of long-term Bushwick resident and community organizer, Faceli.

Faceli is a beloved member of the community who most people recognize as the co-founder of Comunidad Primero, an immigrant woman-led organization that provides mutual aid support to the immigrant community members of Bushwick and Ridgewood.

As neighbors who believe in the power of relationship and solidarity, we affirm that longtime immigrant families deserve to stay in the homes they have rooted themselves in.

And in the face of what might be a larger fight for their homes, Faceli deserves comfort and stability right now/immediately in the aftermath. Her family is being offered little to no assistance from the city.

Please help us raise funds to help meet her family’s immediate needs and help get them rehoused. Let’s show up for Faceli like how she has showed up for so many people.

Hola a todos. El 6 de febrero, un incendio dejó sin hogar a la familia de Faceli, residente de Bushwick desde hace mucho tiempo y organizadora comunitaria.

Faceli es una persona muy querida en la comunidad, conocida por ser cofundadora de Comunidad Primero, una organización liderada por mujeres inmigrantes que brinda apoyo mutuo a la comunidad inmigrante de Bushwick y Ridgewood.

Como vecinos que creemos en el poder de las relaciones y la solidaridad, afirmamos que las familias inmigrantes que llevan mucho tiempo viviendo aquí merecen permanecer en los hogares donde han echado raíces.

Ante lo que podría ser una lucha mayor por su vivienda, Faceli necesita consuelo y estabilidad de inmediato. Su familia está recibiendo muy poca o ninguna ayuda de la ciudad.

Por favor, ayúdennos a recaudar fondos para cubrir las necesidades inmediatas de su familia y ayudarlos a encontrar una nueva vivienda. Demostremos nuestro apoyo a Faceli, tal como ella ha apoyado a tantas personas.
