At Burleigh Health Hub, we believe that true wellness extends beyond the walls of a clinic. It's about creating healthier, stronger communities where every person feels seen, supported, and valued.

That's why we are proud to be leading this fundraising campaign in support of Set Free Care—a remarkable Gold Coast charity that has been serving our community since 1996 by providing practical support, hope, and dignity to people experiencing homelessness, financial hardship, domestic violence, addiction, and other life challenges.

Our Goal: $5,000

As advised by the team at Set Free Care, a $5,000 donation would make a significant difference in helping them continue supporting people who are doing it tough.

Unlike many organisations, Set Free Care receives no government funding. Every service they provide is made possible through the generosity of donors, volunteers, and income from their op shop.

The impact they have already made this year is extraordinary:

5,420 free two-course lunches and breakfasts have been provided.

2,061 people sleeping rough accessed their free shower program over the past six months.

Every meal, every shower, every act of kindness is provided completely free of charge.

Guests also receive toiletries and hygiene products with every shower, along with clothing when needed. Behind every nutritious meal is a significant investment in fresh ingredients, including meat and other essential foods, ensuring people receive not just a meal, but one prepared with care and dignity.

One of the things we admire most about Set Free Care is that there is no eligibility criteria. If someone walks through their doors needing help, they are welcomed with compassion and supported in whatever way they can.

Beyond their meal and shower programs, Set Free Care also assists with individual needs that can help someone move forward, including:

Medication

Driver's licence costs

Photo identification

Fuel

Other essential day-to-day expenses

Their ability to provide this support depends entirely on the funds available at the time.
