Hi, I’m Claire (Charbinks) and I’m putting this together because I genuinely believe our community can gather to help Bulldog Studios get back on their feet
This space has done so much for our scene — and for me personally. It’s where I’ve met artists I now call family, where I've found the strength to pursue my passion and open my own business, where music felt real again, where people were supported no matter where they were at in their journey.
When I heard they’d been robbed, I felt sick. This break-in didn’t just hit one business, it hit an entire community.
Here is what we know as of today 17/07/25:
Yesterday morning, Bulldog Studios was broken into and completely emptied out : over $100,000 worth of gear gone overnight. The space is now an active crime scene, with police searching for fingerprints and leads.
At the time of the break-in, two of the three owners were overseas, making it even more devastating. One of them has poured everything into Bulldog, it’s not just his job, it’s his life and full-time livelihood. And beyond that, this affects way more than just him. To make things even harder, they’re still repaying a $30,000 business loan.
Bulldog has supported hundreds of artists, DJs, and producers, offering space, guidance, and community when people needed it most. This studio has been a cornerstone of Naarm’s music scene — building culture, launching careers, and holding space for so many of us. It's been a launchpad, a safe space, and a massive force for good in the local music industry.
Now it’s our turn to help them rebuild.
