Help Build Welcome Kits for Afghan Families

Hi, my name is Marina Demas and I’ve been volunteering through World Relief, a refugee resettlement organization, for the past 5 years. I’ve mostly volunteered in their children and youth department, where I mentor, tutor, and lead activities for kids.

However, due to the recent influx of Afghan refugees after the Taliban takeover, I’ve decided to temporarily shift my focus. Many families are arriving to Sacramento unprepared, and I’m hoping to raise money to help create Welcome Kits for them. The kits will include basic supplies such as towels, sheets, blankets, utensils, and more.All kit supplies will be ordered online and donated to World Relief for distribution. I hope to assemble kits for as many families as I can, but I need your help! Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
