Help Build Virago Alley's Historic Arts Center

The vision for the Richmond Ren Faire stems from the founding mission of Virago Alley, the non-profit, behind the Ren Faire initiative and Warriors in Bloom. This mission is what has inspired the launch of these annual initiatives and provides a fundraising tool for the non profit’s larger goals.

Virago Alley was formed to spearhead not only programatic platforms for historic martial arts and artisans, but to develop a physical brick & mortar community center that will provide a combat training facility, indoor archery range & dedicated workshop space representing various historical trades & crafts. This space will take our fight from backyards, garages, public parks & tennis courts to an accessible facility armed with tools & mediums to forge, play & create.

Warriors in Bloom and The Richmond Renaissance Faire serve as larger fundraising initiatives in an effort to bring this community center to life so that these skills & techniques can be celebrated, preserved & practiced year round.

Development of this physical location will not begin until after 2025 but you can show your support either through the purchase of a ticket to Warriors in Bloom, through your support of the 2026 Richmond Renaissance Faire or by simply making a tax deductible donation today.
