Together, We Tell the Story
Every day, Sema Hadithi (“Say’mah Hah’deetee,” meaning Tell the Story) works to uncover, preserve, and share the Black history of Utah—stories of families, soldiers, teachers, entrepreneurs, pioneers, and everyday people whose legacies shaped this state.
This work is urgent. Our history is fragile, scattered, endangered by time, and too often overlooked.
But with your help, we can preserve it.
We are raising essential funds for general operating support—the backbone of our work. These funds keep research teams in the field, oral histories recording, archives digitizing, exhibits traveling, and community programs running. They ensure our organization has the capacity, staffing, and tools to grow toward the vision of establishing Utah’s Black History Museum.
When you give, you become a part of the story.
Not as a spectator, but as a builder—someone who makes history possible.
Your donation—no matter the amount—helps us bring truth to the forefront, connect communities, and ensure that Utah’s Black stories are honored, preserved, and shared with generations to come.
Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for lifting this work. And thank you for being part of a journey that is changing Utah’s cultural landscape.
