Help Build Millstone's Historical Garden - Freedom Walk

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Krish Patel. I am a Boy Scout part of Troop 116 in Millstone Twp, NJ. I am working on my Eagle Scout Project to help create a meaningful historical garden in Millstone Township, NJ, on the cross section of Baird Road and Woodville Road. The purpose of this garden is to honor and preserve the history of the African American community that lived and worked on the Baird Homestead farm and later established Woodville Village after emancipation. Their story of resilience, unity, and contribution to the township will be shared through this space.

My project includes planting trees and native plants to create a welcoming natural environment, building and installing two durable park benches for visitors, and designing and constructing a garden sign to mark and identify the space. This garden will provide a peaceful place for the community to reflect, learn local history, and appreciate nature.

Donations will help cover materials for benches, signage, supplies for planting, installation, project completion, and maintenance. Any support will directly contribute to preserving an important piece of Millstone’s history while creating a lasting space for the community to enjoy. Thank you for helping make this project possible!
