Hi there, my name is Neil, i'm the Educational Director at Maldon & Tiptree FC. I have been tasked with finding the funding to get our 3G Pitch dream, made into a reality!

At Maldon & Tiptree FC, we believe football has the power to unite a community. Our dream is to build a new, state-of-the-art 3G pitch at The Drewitt-Barlow Stadium — a facility that will be open not just for our players, but for every school, youth team, disability group, and local resident who loves the game. Right now, our youth teams are scattered across different venues, struggling to find safe, reliable pitches to train and play on. A 3G pitch would give all 365+ young players in our youth setup a home — a place to develop, play, and belong.

This project isn’t just about football. It’s about community. The new pitch will provide a safe, inclusive, year-round space for local schools to use for PE lessons, sports days, and inter-school tournaments. It will also create new opportunities for disability sport, walking football, and fitness sessions for older residents, helping tackle isolation and promote physical and mental well-being across all ages and backgrounds.

As a club, we’re determined to build something that lasts — a space that supports the community seven days a week, not just on matchdays. By investing in a 3G pitch, we can make the club more sustainable, generating income through community hire and partnerships while lowering maintenance costs. Every penny raised will go directly into creating a facility that serves Maldon and its surrounding areas for decades to come.
