My name is Shaurlecien. I am the founder of His Daughters' Safe Place . I was once the woman I am now trying to help.

Thirteen years ago I was 21, homeless, and 15 weeks pregnant. No guidance. No support. Not one person telling me I was going to be okay. I was sent an hour away from my entire family to the only maternity shelter that would take me in.

That shelter gave me a roof, a nursery, and a future. Plus so much more! It saved my life and my daughter's.

Now I am building that same shelter in Delaware and we need your support!

His Daughters' Safe Place will provide pregnant mothers with safe housing, baby essentials, and a real support system so no mother has to face homelessness alone with a baby on the way.

We already have community partnerships and resources in place. The one thing standing between us is $650 for our 501 C3 and funding to open our doors. Unlike most Go Fund Me applicants I’m not asking for the world just a token of your support to get me started and I’ll take it from there..

Goal: $650. THIS FUNDING GOES TOWARDS:

→ 501(c)(3) filing fees to officially launch our nonprofit

→ Baby essentials — diapers, clothing, and nursery supplies

→ Securing safe housing for our first families
