My name is Abigail Desravines-Louissaint, and I’m the founder of Global Help Center, an organization dedicated to connecting immigrants, especially those underserved and in crisis, with critical resources.
I’m raising $250,000 to contribute to the launch of the first Haitian Immigrant Community Center in Central Florida. A place where Haitian families and individuals can find legal aid, education, mental health support, housing help, and hope. Our immigrant communities are more vulnerable than ever, and Haitian immigrants often face language barriers, systemic injustice, and lack of access to help.
Over the past 3 years, we have been deeply involved in assisting and building a response team for the influx of arriving Haitians to Central Florida.
Global Help Center has partnered with several resource providers to create a task force responding to the needs of hundreds of Haitians without food, shelter, or family support. We have hosted and organized resource fairs that provided free legal advice, medical consultations, food, and career-readiness workshops.
We are proud to share that during this time, we have successfully helped hundreds of Haitian families secure resources, find guidance, and access job opportunities across multiple sectors. These individuals come from diverse backgrounds and possess a wide range of skills and talents. It’s been incredibly rewarding to witness their journey toward stability and economic empowerment.
We’ve come this far with pure heart, volunteer work, and limited support but now, to keep going and reach even more people, we need to rent a permanent space, pay staff, and cover basic operational costs. We urgently need broader funding to establish a lasting, welcoming space for all Haitian immigrants in need.
This campaign helps cover:
• Rent & utilities for a community center space (physical hub for Haitian immigrants in Central Florida)
• Staff salaries for support workers and case managers
• Legal assistance and form-filling services
• Wellness services
• Food & housing support programs
• Career development and resource fairs
• Volunteer stipends and transportation
- Creole hotline for them to call
- Free legal support

- Assistance for crime victims and survivors
- Mental health resources and trauma support
- Language and employment workshops
- Weekly Live Empowering Practical Radio show
- Community outreach and translation resources
- More Resource forums

With your help, we can create a trusted space that saves lives, preserves dignity, and builds real opportunities.
We know what it means to struggle silently. With your donation, we can become a voice and a shelter for thousands. Every dollar counts.
REMEMBER: Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to creating a safe space where Haitian immigrants feel seen, supported, and empowered.
Please support and share this campaign widely.Together, we can build something that lasts.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in this mission.
