Building More Than a Theatre — Building Belonging
EnKore Theatre Company was created because we saw a growing need in our community — talented, creative children searching for a place to belong and be developed, not just judged by a single audition.
Too often, young performers are measured by one moment. One tryout. One “yes” or “no.”
We believe that if a child has the courage to step forward, they deserve the opportunity to grow.
At EnKore, every student who enrolls is cast. We believe theatre should build children up, not filter them out.
Through acting, music, dance, technical theatre, design, backstage leadership, and film and on-screen training, students gain more than performance experience. They develop confidence, empathy, discipline, collaboration skills, creative thinking, and leadership — tools that serve them for life.
We have seen firsthand how performance training transforms young people.
And now, we are ready for the next step.
A Permanent Home for Inclusion
EnKore is at a pivotal moment. We are fundraising to secure a permanent home — a 99–120 seat black box theatre that will serve as a creative hub for our entire community.
This space will allow us to:
• Produce inclusive, student-centered productions
• Launch our Performing Arts Academy
• Develop film and on-screen projects
• Build professional lighting and sound environments
• Create classrooms for acting, music, dance, and technical theatre
• Offer sensory-friendly performances
• Provide interpreted performances for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community
• Ensure access for families of all income levels
Inclusion is not an afterthought at EnKore — it is foundational.
We are committed to offering sensory-friendly performances for individuals with autism and sensory sensitivities, where lighting, sound, and environmental elements are thoughtfully adjusted so families can attend without fear or stress.
We are committed to offering interpreted performances so members of the deaf and hard-of-hearing community can fully experience the stories unfolding on stage.
We believe theatre should be accessible. Welcoming. Intentional.
The funds raised in this phase will go directly toward:
• Leasing and renovating the theatre space
• Installing professional lighting and sound equipment
• Constructing a flexible, safe black box stage
• Purchasing seating
• Building training classrooms
• Launching our film and media production program
While scholarships will be a focus in future fundraising phases, we are already committed to flexible payment plans so that financial hardship does not prevent participation.
No sweepstakes, giveaways, or returns on investment are offered in exchange for any donations made to this GoFundMe.
