Kings Wood Campground LLC is a woman- and disabled veteran-owned small business with a big dream—to build an accessible, sustainable campground where people of all ages and abilities can experience nature, community, and heritage together. Our goal is to create a space that is not only beautiful, but also accessible to everyone. The campground will feature ADA-compliant facilities and unique heritage learning day camps, where families and children can learn traditional outdoor skills, local ecology, and cultural history through hands-on experiences.
We were inspired to start Kings Wood Campground by our shared love of the outdoors and belief in its power to heal, teach, and bring people together. As a disabled veteran and woman entrepreneur team, we understand the challenges people face when nature isn’t accessible. We’re changing that by building a place where everyone is welcome. Right now, we’re raising funds for the essential pre-construction phase—an environmental and engineering study, bridge construction, and aquifer testing. These key steps will allow us to prepare the land responsibly and lay the foundation for everything to come.
Your support will specifically fund:
- Environmental Impact Study – To protect wildlife and ensure eco-friendly development
- Engineering Study – To design safe, accessible layouts that preserve the land’s natural contours
- Aquifer Test – To confirm clean, sustainable water sources
Kings Wood Campground LLC isn’t just a business—it’s a mission. By supporting this project, you’re helping us create a lasting space built on connection, learning, and inclusion. Together, we can bring this vision to life—one step, one bridge, and one community at a time.
