Hi, my name is Cherish.

I’m a single mum to a young child, doing everything I can to create a safe, stable home for us during a really uncertain time.

I’m currently facing the reality of having to leave my rental, and while I’m standing up for my rights as a tenant, the situation no longer feels safe or secure. My focus now is on creating a stable alternative for my child.

I have a Toyota Coaster that I’ve been converting into our home. I’ve done my best on my own while parenting a toddler, but I learned the hard way that this can’t be done alone. I paid someone $1300 to help with essential work, trusting it would move us forward — instead the bus was left worse than before, with power cables cut, solar disconnected, and parts gutted.

I’m creating this fundraiser after being deeply humbled by people offering support and asking for a place to contribute. Having funds behind me means I can do this properly and safely, and pay skilled people to help me create a magical little fairy cottage on wheels — a home where my child and I can feel calm, protected, and secure.

Funds raised will go toward:

• Registration and inspection costs

• Rust repairs and body work

• Electrical work and a full solar setup

• Plumbing

• A fridge and essential appliances

• Materials and fit-out costs
