Conoce a Karla y Erica Morales: una madre y su hija, amigas muy cercanas de mi familia que vive en Guatemala. Su situación actual de vivienda es inestable y no segura a largo plazo. Como tantas familias, han soñado con un hogar que pueda protegerlas de los elementos y darles una base sólida para construir su futuro.

Recientemente, mis familiares las sorprendieron con algo extraordinario: diseñaron los planos de una casa completamente nueva, pensada para darles al fin la estabilidad y seguridad que merecen. Cuando compartieron la sorpresa, fue un momento de esperanza, emoción y lágrimas de alegría.

Ahora, su comunidad se ha unido en apoyo. Vecinos están donando su tiempo, esfuerzo y materiales para ayudar a hacer realidad esta visión. Es un hermoso ejemplo de lo que sucede cuando las personas se unen para apoyarse unas a otras. Aun así, la realidad es que construir una casa requiere más que amor y trabajo duro: hacen falta materiales esenciales y recursos para terminar la casa y hacerla habitable.

Yo personalmente no conozco a esta madre e hija ni estoy involucrada físicamente en el proyecto. Simplemente estoy organizando esta recaudación en nombre de mi familia en Guatemala, quienes sí están cercanamente conectados y apoyando activamente. Cada donación recibida aquí se destinará directamente a cubrir los costos de construcción, acelerar el proceso y proporcionar los artículos esenciales que necesitarán cuando finalmente se muden a su nuevo hogar.

Let's Help Build a Safe Home for a Mother & Daughter in Guatemala!

Meet Karla and Erica Morales- a mother and daughter, close friends of my family who live in Guatemala. Their current living situation is unstable and not safe for the long term. Like so many families, they have dreamed of a home that could shelter them from the elements and give them a foundation to build their future.

Recently, my family members surprised them with something extraordinary: they drafted a blueprint for a brand-new home, designed to finally give this mother and daughter the stability and safety they deserve. When they shared the surprise, it brought hope, excitement, and tears of joy.

Now, their community is rallying behind them. Neighbors are donating their time, labor, and supplies to help bring this vision to life. It’s a beautiful example of what happens when people come together for one another. Still, the reality is that building a home requires more than love and hard work—there are essential materials, costs, and supplies needed to complete the house and make it livable.

I personally do not know this mother and daughter and am not physically involved in the project. I am simply organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my family in Guatemala, who are closely connected and actively supporting them. Every donation raised here will go directly to offset construction costs, speed up the process, and provide the essentials they’ll need when they finally move into their new home.
