Hello, my name is Wesley Nichols and I am a Boy Scout from Troop 715 in Richmond, Virginia. I am currently working on my Eagle Scout Project to build a new shed for the soccer program at Mary Munford Elementary School. I and many of my friends began playing at Mary Munford in first grade and have continued to play for close to a decade, and the program remains popular with students. This project is meant to serve young players beginning their soccer journey and volunteer coaches who help them find a love for the game.

My project will replace the previous shed which had deteriorated with a leaky roof, and a rotten foundation that allowed mice to get in. The shed is used by the coaches to store equipment like balls, cones, and goals, as well as extra soccer gear like cleats, shin guards, and jerseys.

On November 15th and 16th I will build a new 8x10 shed with help from other Boy Scouts in my Troop. The Mary Munford PTA is providing some of the funding but I still need to raise an additional $1000 to purchase materials to complete this project.
