Help Build a New Road for Our Community

Dear Supporters,

We are seeking support for our village in Slanice, Donofrose, Albania to pave a new and walkable road which hasn’t been built in over a decade.

I am the son of one of the families in the village and have experienced firsthand the challenges we face daily due to the lack of proper pavement.

Previously, there have been donors from the village who have implemented temporary solutions (gravel), however, as the years went by, the road became degraded from natural occurrences.

As Albania is a country that receives rainfall frequently, the road to the village becomes muddy, slippery, and hard to walk on. Especially with the gravel mixed with mud, elders will avoid leaving the village to prevent injuries.

Due to the lack of pavement, slips and falls are bound to occur from the muddy incline road, which has happened multiple times recently. As the village is mainly composed of the older generation, the road becomes even more detrimental to their health and well-being.

The community has reached out to the government on multiple occasions for assistance in rebuilding the road to their homes yet there has been no response.
