Hi everyone — we’re the proud parents of three beautiful children, and this page is about our daughter, Clahra. She’s our middle child, nestled between two energetic boys, and she brings something truly special to our family: a quiet strength, a luminous smile, and a spirit that continues to inspire us every day.

Clahra was born with an ultra-rare genetic condition called KAT6B syndrome — so rare that only a couple hundred cases exist worldwide. It’s a disorder that affects development in many ways, and for Clahra, it means challenges with feeding, mobility, communication, and strength. It also means daily therapies, extra appointments, equipment, and a deep well of patience, resilience, and love — not just from her, but from all of us.

Like many parents of children with rare conditions, we’ve had to learn as we go — navigating complex medical systems, advocating for care that isn’t always easily accessible, and making hard decisions to give our daughter the best possible future. One of those decisions was for one of us to step away from full-time work so we could be fully present for Clahra’s needs. It’s not a sacrifice we regret for a second — but it does come with its own financial strain.

As we move into this next chapter, our family is downsizing and starting fresh in a new home — a smaller, simpler space where peace, accessibility, and presence will define our days. We’re doing this to align our lifestyle with what matters most: caring for Clahra and supporting her continued progress through physical, occupational, speech, and feeding therapies.

Right now, we’re working with her on some major milestones — eating independently, walking, expressing herself, building strength and coordination. These are big, life-changing steps, and each small win she achieves feels like a massive leap forward.

We’re turning to our community — friends, family, kind strangers — to help us cover the closing costs of our new home, as well as mounting medical bills and therapy-related expenses. Our goal is $15,000, and it will go directly toward:

• Final housing costs and moving expenses

• Out-of-pocket medical and therapy bills

• Specialized equipment and tools to support Clahra’s development
