Assalamualaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

My family & I have created this fundraiser as a form of Sadaqah Jariyah for my beloved father Mohammed Parvez with the intention of raising funds to build a masjid in his name. With the supervision & support of their beloved teacher Shaykh Nadi Al Hanafawi, we have secured a 1500 square metre plot of land in Bawiti Village, Bahariya Oasis, Egypt in which we intend to provide a place of worship & an Islamic Education Centre for the local community to benefit from.

Sayyiduna Uthman Ibn Affan رضي الله عنه reports that our Beloved Nabi صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said “Whoever builds a masjid for the sake of Allah, Allah almighty will build for him a house in Jannah” – Bukhari

My beloved father was a humble, sincere person who always strived to be the best he could in every aspect of his life. He touched the lives of many throughout his life, Muslims & Non-Muslims alike felt his soft, warm-hearted nature & beautiful smile. He was a man that excelled in both worldly matters & that of faith, achieving success in business without compromising on the principles of Islam. He was a loving father who provided his endless support, carefully nurturing his children upon the pillars of Islam creating a Hufaz in his youngest son Hafiz Mohammed Imran & an Ustadha in his daughter Amenah. He was a pillar of the community, always seeking avenues & means to be of service to others. He was a respected brother & uncle to all, a cornerstone of advice & guidance to those both young & old.

Above all he was a man of Allah, a man who strove tirelessly in his endeavours to please his Lord & his Rasul صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. His prayers were always a priority, such that he never offered less than 6 rakah’s after Maghrib Salah & whenever he could, always tried to offer his prayers in the Masjid. He was extremely charitable, such that the extent of his generosity was only known after his passing.

He was a man who desired perfection in his Deen, unconventionally persuing excellence in his Qira’at after 40 years of age after being inspired by his beloved teacher Shaykh Nadi Al Hanafawi. He started his journey with Shaykh Nadi in 2012, going back to basics, deeply understanding Tajweed & articulation points, completing the Quran, progressing to study the Ten Readings of Quran (Qira’at Al-Ashr) & the vocal art of Maqamat. He dedicated an immense amount of love & time to this sacred knowledge, studying with Shaykh Nadi for two hours every Sunday from 2012, continuing this routine till his last lesson on Sunday 23rd September 2024. Undoubtedly, he was a Qari in his own right, honouring many gatherings & commemorations with his beautiful recitals of Adhan, Naats, Darood Shareef & Qira’at.

His love for the Deen was truly awe-inspiring, always seeking ways to better himself & increase his knowledge. Alongside his other classes, in 2022 he started to attend Fard Ul Ayn classes in Redditch to further enrich himself. He would often revise the weekly lessons, meticulously making new notes away from his classes & after perfecting what he had learnt, he had a desire to be of benefit & teach his immediate family, hosting gatherings of knowledge in his home.

My father was truly an embodiment of the teachings of Islam, the Sunnah of RasoolAllah صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ & those who knew him gave testimonies of his beautiful character & precious times they’ve shared with him.

His final lesson with Shaykh Nadi – Friday’s Miracle

Shaykh Nadi reported that on their usual Sunday lesson, what was to be their final lesson together, my father led them both in Maghrib prayer. Thereafter, they both sat & Shaykh Nadi spoke about their wife’s uncle, a pious man who passed away on a Friday, and how the roof of the house collapsed in grief just after the funeral left the home. My father replied, “I pray that Allah almighty grants me death on a Friday and blesses me with a good end like this man, your wife’s uncle.”

SubhanAllah, it is in Allah almighty's infinite wisdom & mercy that he didn’t allow the coming Friday to pass until he accepted my father’s dua & took his blessed soul during the early hours of Fajr on Friday morning, granting him the beautiful end he prayed for.

Those who knew my father know him as a man of truth; I often sit and ponder that maybe Allah loved that there was so much conviction & certainty in the dua my father made that Allah didn’t want to make my father wait before granting him what he asked for.

He left this temporary world with a beautiful smile & his face radiant. We pray that Allah almighty elevates his status, forgives any shortcomings & grants him a high abode in Jannah – Ameen.

Sayyiduna Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه reports that our Beloved Nabi صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said “Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another except that Allah increases his honour & no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises his status” – Muslim

We kindly request you all to share & donate generously to help us reach our target. When donating please have the intention to give charity in the way of Allah (Fee Sabilillah) so that we may use some of the money raised for water wells & other small projects as a Saqadah Jariah for our beloved father, may Allah almighty raise his ranks.

JazakAllah Khair
