Help Build a Little Free Pantry in Kent, WA

Hi Friends. Each day in my neighborhood many POC, students, unemployed/unhoused people, disabled folks, families with multiple children, elders, and other walking members of the community pass my house because of the arterial nature of the street.

I want to put a Little Free Pantry on the corner that connects the arterial road to my street. This pantry will receive donations of commonly needed food, household, and toiletry items and will also be open for neighbors and passers by to donate. I think this would make a difference in my community and I’m asking for cash donations to help me commission a local carpenter to create and install a long lasting and well designed pantry cabinet.

White folks: please know that if you donate to this cause you will be redistributing your wealth directly to a community that is largely of color and deeply affected by racial inequities, insufficient public systems, and the active effects of white supremacy.
