Help Us Build a Home for 150 Orphans in Uganda
This past January 2025, my girlfriend Nivis and I had the life changing experience of visiting the Wipe a Tear Foundation Inc., an orphanage in Uganda that currently cares for 150 children. The founder, Vicent (not Vincent), was once an orphan himself, sleeping on a concrete floor for eight years. Out of that hardship, he made a vow: to one day create a safe, loving space for children who had no one else. And he’s done exactly that.
Meeting these incredible children was deeply moving. You would never know they were orphans. They’re joyful, respectful, and full of life, thanks to the dedication and love of the caretakers at Wipe a Tear.
However, the orphanage is at a critical turning point. The land they currently lease, a rudimentary shelter with no running water, will no longer be available after December 2025. They are at risk of losing the only home they have.
In response, I’ve taken the first step toward a solution. On June 11, 2025, I purchased a 2 acre lot in Uganda with the vision of building a state-of-the-art living facility to comfortably house the 150 children and the staff who care for them. Just days after the purchase, we had a road excavated into the property to begin access for construction.
We are now creating a short video that will showcase the current orphanage, the children, the newly purchased land, and the road being cut in. It will also present our vision for the future facility through a powerful AI-generated animation. This video will serve as our call to action, to individuals, organizations, and anyone willing to lend support through donations of time, money, or materials.
This project is personal. There are no middlemen. Every dollar, every tool, every hour of help will go directly into construction and care.
We are reaching out to you, friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers, for any support you can offer. No contribution is too small. Whether it’s sharing our story, offering building expertise, or donating funds or supplies, your help will bring this vision to life.
We’re traveling back to Uganda in July, we plan to have more updates when we return.
Let’s give these children not just a roof over their heads, but a place they can proudly call home. Join us on Face book.
