Help Build a Home Addition for Krystyna's Family
Hello, I am reaching out to see if we can all join together to help a friend in need. When I see the devastation happening right now in Ukraine with all the violence and rising death tolls, my heart goes out to all those suffering in Ukraine. The ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine has personally impacted my coworker Krystyna Howell. Krystyna has spent sleepless days trying to bring family here to the States to save their lives during this War with Russia. She has been going thru an extremely difficult time trying to rescue her family and bring them here to the U.S. She would go days at a time with no contact with her Mother, not knowing if she and her family were dead or alive. Her 16 year old brother is still there fighting along with her older brother in Kyiv, the men unable to leave. I can only imagine the turmoil she is suffering. She now has her Grandmother, Mother and younger Sister here, safe in the United States, and is adjusting to a new life with them here. She still has constant worry for the rest of her immediate family members who are still fighting and unable to leave.
She now has a houseful and no idea what the future holds. She is doing everything she can to get them settled here with the basic needs of Medical Care, clothing, and groceries, while still working full-time and balancing her own family life with her husband and daughter. With the increasingly high inflation, the cost of renting addition housing is extremely expensive with outrageous rental costs right now. She and her husband have decided to add an addition to their home to accommodate her extended family now living here, unsure if they will ever be able to return to Ukraine.
We are reaching out with various ways to help, such; Funds, Materials, or Time volunteering once construction begins. She and her husband have been able to design the addition and are getting plans approved by the City. Once this is approved, she will be looking for loans and ways to raise the money to make this happen. Donations are welcome, as well as supplies she may need.
