Help Build a Healing Oasis: Florence and Rodolfo’s Garden

Florence's Garden will be a space of serenity and remembrance of her late husband's life and his love for his community in Norzagaray, Philippines.

The semi-public garden will center around a design concept of "three," representing the three domains of wellness - physical, mental, and spiritual. The serene space will highlight perennials and native flowers, bushes, trees, and a water feature. The funding from this campaign will contribute towards the garden’s development and will cover maintenance and upkeep costs. The visual mix of paradise plants and flowing water will combine to provide a small oasis of healing and remembrance for the community.

Several garden boxes containing varieties of crops like lettuce, tomatoes, bokchoy, sweet potatoes and more will be used for garden classes and sharing the harvest with the community. Teaching the community the importance of patience, productivity and sensitivity to nature through gardening will provide hope for a better future.

Florence aims at satisfying a human craving for the natural and, by supplying peace and tranquility, at offering a retreat in which one can find spiritual recreation and sustenance through activities to nourish mind, body and spirit.

In this community, the chances of having a public place to go to everyday to experience being at peace, relaxed and socially accepted is unlikely due to poverty but we trust that this campaign will be successful and we will be able to execute our plans and complete it by the end of this year.
