OUR STORY:
Hello! We are a small team of residents reaching out on behalf of our wonderful DelMar Woods community. Established in 1968, our neighborhood has a rich history and a unique charm that we all deeply cherish. As proud homeowners in DelMar Woods, we take great pride in our little corner of Section 28, T 24N, R 5E, WM, King County, WA.
Over the years, our neighborhood has flourished, allowing us the freedom to personalize our homes without the constraints of a formal association. However, this independence has also meant that we lack a unified way to enhance our community’s image or take on projects that benefit us all.
One project that has been close to our hearts is replacing our aging neighborhood entry sign. This idea became even more meaningful after the passing of our dear friend and original homeowner, Janet Nagel. Before she left us, Janet entrusted Christy with the task of overseeing this project. While personal commitments delayed its launch, we are now coming together as a team of neighbors to bring this vision to life—designing a fresh, welcoming sign that reflects the spirit of DelMar Woods.
In the lead photo, you’ll see our final design concept and material selections for the new sign. As we continue gathering donations, we’ll keep you updated on the estimated project timeline. Your contributions will be instrumental in making this happen, and together, we can enhance the beauty of our neighborhood.
MATERIAL AND COST UPDATE: $7500
- Removal and disposal of the existing sign
- New aluminum post and panel with a wood faux finish
- Welded plate with cutout design & lettering
- Necessary permits from the City of Bellevue
- Fabrication, installation, and delivery (estimated 4-6 weeks from deposit)
- 50% deposit required, with the balance due upon delivery
- Does not include Engineering, permit fees (TBD), and applicable taxes
