Help Build a Dream: A Beauty Salon That Empowers and Inspires

At just 22 years old, she’s been raising her 16-year-old brother since their mother passed away over 12 years ago. They spent 8 years in an orphanage before finally living together. She’s ambitious, selfless, and like a mother to him — making sure he stays in school, has food to eat, and hope for the future.

Her dream? To open a beauty salon in Bujumbura, Burundi in Africa so she can support her brother’s education, provide for them both, and help with their father’s medical needs.

This fundraiser is for my youngest son’s sister, a remarkable 22-year-old young woman living in Bujumbura, Burundi, Africa.

This salon will be her path to independence, stability, and opportunity.

Her vision for the salon is to offer:

Makeup artistry for special occasions and everyday beauty

Natural hair treatments that protect and celebrate hair health

Braiding — from natural styles to extensions

Hairstyling for all textures and preferences

Manicures and pedicures for the perfect finishing touch

Sales of hair extensions to complement styling services

To make this dream a reality, we need help covering essential startup costs — from nail polish, makeup, styling tools, chairs, mirrors, and equipment to the rent for a welcoming salon space.
