Nayliz and I are overjoyed to share that, with your generosity and support, we have reached a significant milestone in our mission to build a church in Sierra Leone—we’ve successfully purchased the land!

What was once an overgrown field covered in weeds and shrubbery is now a cleared and prepared space, ready to transform into a sanctuary for worship, community, and hope.

We are honored to be helping Pastor Peter, whom we met a few years ago through an online conference. You can see him in the cover photo in the back with the red shirt. Pastor Peter is not only leading this faith community, but he is also the caretaker of 12 orphaned children, providing them with food, shelter, and love under incredibly difficult circumstances. Despite the challenges, he continues to lead worship and serve the community faithfully.

Currently, they worship in a tent—a structure that is easily flooded every time it rains, disrupting services and creating unsafe conditions for the children and congregation. The goal is to build a permanent church structure that provides safety, stability, and a spiritual home for Pastor Peter, the children, and the surrounding community.

After clearing the land, the vision of what this space will become has never been clearer: a beacon of light and faith for Sierra Leone.

Now, we enter the next exciting phase: construction.

This church will not just be a building—it will be a place where lives are changed, faith is nurtured, and the community can come together to find hope and healing. From hosting Sunday worship services to providing a safe space for youth programs and community outreach, this church will serve as a foundation for spiritual and social growth.

But we can’t do this without your help.

Your donations will directly support the construction process, including laying the foundation, building walls, installing a roof, and creating a safe and welcoming interior space. Every contribution—big or small—brings us closer to making this vision a reality. Additionally, 10% of all donations will be allocated to sending children to school, ensuring they receive the education and opportunities they deserve.

There’s also growing support from the government, which is offering reduced prices and incentives to help build more Christian churches due to the shortage of houses of worship in the area.
